LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- I wish I could give 0 stars. I ordered a gas range that was delivered damaged on February 25th. I did not receive the delivery, however, the delivery man had already disconnected my original range. He called the office and got a replacement that was to be delivered a week later, so I told him to take the old range away. One week without a stove is not the end of the world. Or so I thought. My replacement was scheduled for March 3rd. I got a call March 2nd informing me that my stove would not be delivered until March 11th due to some issue I don't remember. Over two weeks without a stove is unacceptable. When I called customer service, all they offered me was an I'm sorry. I will never purchase another appliance from them ever again.
WASHINGTON -- I purchased an electric steam dryer from Home Depot to replace the gas version I had. I already had the matching washer and pedestal. The Home Depot delivery driver refused to install the dryer, although I had paid for installation, because I had a washer and the pedestal was 2 years old. The problem is that Home Depot did not inform me of this policy prior to my paying for the dryer and installation (to have them install it they required that I purchase $50 in parts from them). I called to complain and was told that I could pay for someone else to come out and install it. No thanks. Fool me once and all that. What a ripoff!
DRIPPING SPRINGS, TEXAS -- I ordered the package deal for Whirlpool appliances. I had to wait over a week for delivery. The delivery man said the refrigerator would not fit and he wrote that I had refused it. So, he took it back. The same day I went back to HD and ordered a new refrigerator. I explained that the ordered refrigerator did not fit in my area and the delivery man had to take it back. I asked when I was going to get my money back. He said it should take about 7 days. 9 days went by. Home Depot called me about my delivery, just as I was going to call and ask where my reimbursement money was.
Sasha said that she would look into it and call me back. Sasha DID NOT call me back. I had to call back. Sasha supposedly found out that I should get my money back according to the person I talked to, but, it was going to take another 7 days. Altogether it has now been 2 weeks since purchasing the original package. They had no problem deducting the money from my charge card but, trying to get my money back for a product I did not receive is like pulling teeth. INCOMPETENT!!! The warehouse received it back!!! Why did they not report the return??? Why go through so many hoops to get reimbursed???
AUSTIN, TEXAS -- If your planning on buying a washer and dryer from Home Depot let me stop you. I ordered a stackable washer and dryer online, easy enough. Well when they came to deliver it, they said they couldn't give it to me because I did not purchase the stacking kit. So I refused the order and called customer service. The agent told me that it comes with a stacking kit and they should have had it with them. She scheduled me for the next week with a stacking kit. So, I wait around for 4 hours waiting for my delivery. When it's past the delivery time I call and after sitting on hold for quite awhile they told me that they had issues with the Home Depot local store and they wouldn't be able to deliver. I immediately canceled the order. But, when you want a refund you have to call a specific number which took me 20 minutes on hold to find that out. Finally got my refund. I will NEVER order anything from this company again. I am a share holder as well and will be selling my stock. This company SUCKS!
ASHBURN, VIRGINIA -- Purchased from Ashburn, VA store and Order # **. If I purchase my appliances again in future, never from Home Depot. The delivery agency missed two delivery schedules with no explanations. Home Depot has no control over delivery agency, what a pity! Still running around for my appliances. Escalations with the store manager and CSO don't help at all. Ordered 6 appliances - refrigerator, 2 dishwashers, range, washer and dryer. Rescheduled to next week. Every time the delivery guys don't show up - and you know what? I'm almost certain I'm not going to get it next week as well. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
TOLEDO, OHIO -- I purchased a new dishwasher from Home Depot and it was scheduled for delivery between 4 and 8 pm on July 9th. At 7:30 I checked the tracking and said there were still 9 ahead of me, which made me doubt they'd be there. Just before 8pm I got a call to tell me that the truck had broken down and they needed to reschedule. Ok, no problem. Well instead of getting it the next day, I was informed that the the next available delivery date is July 17th!!!! Called Home Depot to see if there was some other remedy. The remediation group was supposed to call me back today with an update but now at 3:30 still no call. Extremely poor customer service.
SPRING HILL, FLORIDA -- Here is the deal. Our old refrigerator had failed. Ordered from Home Depot. It was promised to be available in days. After 6 days it finally showed up, damaged. We had to reject it. Next one shows up a week later. Damaged, we had to reject it. Now we are almost three weeks without a refrigerator. Finally the third one arrives, but the miserable delivery service said they could not get it up the stair and if we wanted them to bring it up it would be our fault if the unit gets damaged.
I was in the process of completing the rear deck and they said they could bring it up that way once it was completed. Week four, they brought another refrigerator and it was damaged. At this point I called the store manager and he said there was nothing he could do because it was Friday afternoon. I call a local appliance store, ordered a new refrigerator and it was delivered and installed the next day - with excellent customer service. Do not buy appliances from Home Depot! Store 281 Location 4765 Commercial Way Spring Hill, FL 34606.
CORNELIUS, NORTH CAROLINA -- So I went to purchase an over the range…
So I went to purchase an over the range microwave oven.
They had a great deal on a Samsung. It was marked $242 ($200 off regular price). I told them I would like to purchase it. Thye said "we do not get them in stock, any of them ever. You have to purchase it with shipping. Shipping is $75." I told them I . don't mind waiting for it to get to the store. The said they do not get them to the store, they only ship to your house and it's $75 to ship. This made no sense to me. I could understand if they ran out of stock or I had to travel to another store, or I had to wait a week to get it delivered to the store at no cost to me except the advertised price. I even told them I would take the floor model. They said, no they are not allowed to sell the floor model. I asked to speak the manager in the Corneluis NC. She said that's the way it is, kind of an attitude, no real explanation or understanding of how this makes no sense. In a nutshell. They advertise a price that's not possible to sell for. If there is no way you can buy the product for the price shown it should not be advertised in the store. Makes perfect sense to me. Please enlighten me if you see another way of looking at this? Thanks for reading...
KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE -- Two tries and two fails - Small GE chest freezer. The delivery company has brought by two units and both were damaged. I am still waiting for the phone call telling me when the third unit will be brought by. I don't know if it is GE or the freight company that is denting these freezers, and I really don't care who is at fault. Just do your job correctly. If I ever get an undamaged freezer - it will be the last appliance I will ever buy from Home Depot. I had to pay for delivery and had no option but to have it delivered to my house. They would not allow me to pick up at store.
CLARENCE, NEW YORK -- Unreal. I will never purchase anything from Home Depot again as long as they use Spirit for their delivery service. Ordered a fridge and dishwasher 2 weeks ago. Had delivery date scheduled for Saturday. Received a call it was on its way but delayed.
After the delivery window closed called Home Depot. They called Spirit to find out the woman made a mistake and didn't load our fridge on the truck so our delivery was cancelled (thanks for calling us about it!). Home Depot called back and we rescheduled for today (Monday). We were supposed to be first delivery. After 2 house went by and still no delivery Home Depot called Spirit and he was told our fridge wasn't even in yet (nothing but lies and excuses from Spirit).
So we ended up having to dish out another 3 grand, went to Lowe's and our contractor is going to pick them up and install for us. The fact this place has a one star rating, why is anyone even using them?! They are scammers and cheats and I will always ask before I purchase any applicants now what service they use. We cancelled the other order and now have to wait 10 business days to get our money back. I'm infuriated.
