Washer Spins Loudly, Can Not Be Fixed, Replacing the Part Will Cost More Than the Washer Only 4 Yrs Old!

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA -- I replaced my washer with a Whirlpool Cabrio 4 yrs ago, the washer is one of the new appliances environmental friendly, I thought. This washer leaves the clothes dirty, the design of the lid of horrendous, anything you place on top of the washer will slide off; the lid is slanted and everything slides off as the washer spins and washes. Designers and engineers never thought of the vibration doing this! A year ago the washer started making an extremely loud noise when it spinned so we call a repairman.

He diagnosed the problem as a bad clutch that would cost more to repair than the original cost of the appliance! Do not buy washers that have the low agitator, they do not wash well! The repairman said that the best washers are the ones that have the tall agitators in the middle of the tub! No more Whirlpool appliances in my house!

ROSWELL, GEORGIA -- I bought this so call Whirlpool Top Loading High Efficient low-water washer 5 months ago. I have never ever ever had to wash my clothes 3 to 4 time just to get them clean. I have to literally take my clothes out and hand wash them. This is bullcrap!!! I am totally disgusted! I tried to keep my white clothes white by putting bleach in that damn Whirlpool Washer and the clothes still come out like I am damn homeless!!! I am done. If I have to carry this washer on my back to take it back to Best Buy. Sorry but for this item "Worst Buy". I am done! Sincerely, Dying for clean Freaking Clothes!!!

2 Years Old and Ripping My Clothing

NASHUA, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- My washer / dryer is 2 years old. I've inspected both for sharp edges and defaults. Nothing. However, I've had several Under Armour shirts and shorts get shredded, cotton t-shirts, wife's light sweaters and football jerseys get ruined. I've inspected both washer and dryer, inspected my clothing before putting them in, changed the detergent (because I heard Tide HE is too abrasive for light materials), changed fabric softener, changed temp of dryer setting, changed the temp of water settings and in the past two months I've lost over $200 in clothing. It is getting ridiculous.

Don't get me wrong... I LOVED how clean and fluffy my clothes have become since getting them. However, losing my favorite clothing... feeling sad and frustrated. If anyone has any other suggestions or found a resolution, please email me at **. Have a great day!!

Washing Machine Repair

ONTOAGON, MICHIGAN -- We bought a top load washing machine in 2011 and loved it, that is until this year. The machine is only 2 years old and of course the warranty is up (only good for one year). First it became out of balance and had to call a repair man, then just recently it just stop working, so we called the repairman again and he told us that the transmission was shot.

We were then told to call Whirlpool to see if there was anything they would do seeing how it is only 2 years old. So I did and the gentleman that I spoke with said that because there is no recall and the warranty is up there isn't anything they could do. He did say that they could try and fix it but the cost to fix it would be as much as buying a new one.

Needless to say we are very disappointed that Whirlpool does not stand by their product and a machine that is two years old should not fall apart in just 2 years. We have always bought Whirlpool products but after this we will never again.

Whirlpool Washer Broke for Over a Month

My Whirlpool washer that is still under factory warranty has been out of service for well over a month now. Two different service companies have looked at the washer, for a total of five visits and four different parts. Whirlpool customer service has no information or status on your washer - they couldn'€™t even tell me whom the service company was that was currently working on my case!

After half a dozen calls to the Whirlpool customer EXPERIENCE center, I was also to talk to a manager; however, now after four calls ** at extension ** will not return my phone call. Now that's bad customer service when even the manager will not return your call! I also talked to ** at extension ** who told me that the repair of my washer was not her responsibility and hung up one me!

VANCOUVER -- I agree with the other review on this page. I purchased a stackable Inglis washer/dryer October 2012. Within two months the washer is not working properly. There are two cycles on this machine - heavy and casual. On the casual cycle, the machine would stop working after a few minutes and the start light would blink. I had to power off and restart on the heavy cycle. A repairman replaced the latch - said Inglis was having problems with the latch.

A week after the latch replacement and four loads later, both cycles are not working now. I was told by Inglis customer service that I could not return until after 3 calls. How crazy is that? I am going to see if I can return this to Coast Wholesale Appliances.

Front load washers

I purchased a Whirlpool front load washer and dryer from a local store. I was not told about the mold that gets in the washer. You must CLEAN the washer once a month. It stinks if you don't and you must leave the door OPEN as they say ALL THE TIME... which I cannot do because of the location of the washer. I have enough house cleaning to do and do not need more!! Please let everyone know about this. Most of us that purchase them without knowing have be spreading the word. But I'm sure some do not know about it. The washer and dryer WORK fine. They sell cleaning products to do the cleaning job. More money to spend when it is getting scarce for me.

Whirlpool front load washer GHW9150

I purchased a front-load washer dryer set with pedestals. We have had a minimal amount of problems with the washer until one month after the extended warranty I purchased went out (of course). The pump went out and we had it replaced which understandable parts do wear out and have to be replaced, BUT, now I started finding pieces of plastic in the clothes after washing. The drum had started shaking badly and banging against the side of the machine. There was also a bad smell of rubber burning. Upon dissecting the machine to find the problem, we could not believe what was found.

The bracket that attached to the drum and held the shaft had broken in pieces. The shaft and bearings were in perfect condition itself but the bracket it is mounted in had totally crumbled! It looked like it had been made out of some sort of pot metal. I could not believe it. We paid over $2000.00 for this set of appliances and expected a good quality product. The replacement parts are going to cost more than purchasing a new machine. I have purchased many Whirlpool products and have been very satisfied, even with this machine, until this problem arose. I still can't believe that Whirlpool has allowed this problem to go unaddressed.

Brand New Whirlpool Washer Won't Stay Balanced

Last year we bought a new HE Whirlpool washing machine. Although the washing machine was level, the load would not stay balanced during the spin cycle. We returned it for a different model Whirlpool washer. Although not every load unbalances during the spin cycle, more often than not, a load of towels will become unbalanced. Doesn't matter if it a small, medium or large load. I am no longer able to wash blankets. Those always unbalance. Never again will I buy any Whirlpool product. Too bad. My last washer was Whirlpool and lasted more than 20 years. The quality of Whirlpool products is gone.

Poor Product ..... Even Worse Service After Problems

I purchased this washing machine 2.5 years ago and within the first year it was not used due to the house not being lived in. After moving in I had problems within the first 3 months when I had a service tech out to fix the problem with the door gasket. The service tech did not install the spring retainers so it then fell back off during a wash cycle. Does not seem like such a bad thing except there was over $1000 worth of clothing in the load. Nothing was ever done to take care of any of this after numerous emails and phone calls I gave up.

The machine has never worked right and throws trouble codes constantly. Tonight it threw a code as usual except I cannot clear it and the door is locked. Whirlpool tells me that I have no warranty left and I should call a service tech. Knowing what happened before. Horrible company... I urge everyone to stay away from Whirlpool "Junk" and no accountability.
